A good mechanic is hard to find. We know. The good news is, we can help you with your search by recommending mechanics we have been treated well by below.*
If you can fix your own bike, that’s awesome! In fact, there are courses offered at the places found on our Learn How to Ride page that go over basic bike maintenance and care. These are super for women who want to be able to take part in the proper care of their bikes (or the bike of a fancy lady friend…take note). You do not have to know how to rebuild a motorcycle to be a part of the growing community of female riders, you just have to know where to go for regular tune ups and the occasional bigger deal bike issue. Here are some suggestions for places (and people) who have been good to us:
PreSeaon – $250 + parts
- check brakes
- set/lube chain
- air Filter – check
- replace spark plugs
- replace oil and filter
- lube and adjust cable
- 1wk to get bike back
